The Waldo

Modern Living in a Historic Space

The Waldo Apartments, named after Ralph Waldo Emerson, first opened in 1893. Although we’ve updated the inside, many special historic features remain. The wrought-iron and brass elevator is the oldest operating elevator in the city of Cincinnati. The magnificent woodwork, stonework and marble remain. During our renovation in 2004 we carefully restored all the historic details and added updated the amenities.
